Life since high school

I used to care more about external measures of success like career. I still do but it’s less pointed. I give more credence to the inner experience while worrying less about others’ opinions about career tracks. Nonetheless, I do notice that how people see your worth does depend on external measures.

Attended college / university at
Stanford.

Majored in
Earth Systems.

Post-graduate education or training
Masters in Earth Systems at Stanford.

Places lived in US
California, Colorado, Wyoming

Places lived outside the US

Professional, Scientific, and Technical Services

Did your education prepare you for your career or occupation?
Sort of.

Has your education or career/occupation trajectory ever changed? How?
It changed from science to the arts.

A little introspection...

To me, being successful means...
Spiritual bliss. Knowing yourself.

My definition of success has changed over time.

My greatest accomplishment to date and what I’ve learned from it
No single thing. Sometimes surviving really hard experiences seems like the biggest feat. But also adventures, creative output, some career things.

My biggest mistake or regret so far and what I’ve learned from it
No major mistakes.

An unexpected event that changed my life and how it impacted me
The death of my boyfriend was very significant. A great deal of pain and difficulty. Made me even more independent than I already was, stronger, more graceful, and more spiritual.
