I have no fear, I have only love

My time in high school

Attended high school in the
1990s

Overall high school experience
5/10. I was well liked by people and had a lot of friends. It was high school though....so many cliques, so much judgement. If you got a B on a paper you weren't considered intelligent enough to be around. I grew tired very quickly of the high expectations that were put on us as 14 year olds going into high school . That weight was hard to carry 4 years and I was glad to leave and move on from the pressure.

Grades in high school

I got a great education in high school but maybe only 25 percent of it applies to what I do for a living now.

Has your education or career/occupation trajectory ever changed? How?
Yes

A little introspection...

To me, being successful means...
Experiencing life

My definition of success has changed over time.
I used to think I was a failure or didn't measure up to what was expected of me because I didn't have the prestigious career or college under my belt. What I learned was I actually got to live life and see what the world had to offer and in that, I grew and became a better person.

My greatest accomplishment to date and what I’ve learned from it
My greatest accomplishment is my children. They make me want to be a better person and they are the true meaning of what makes my life worth living.

My biggest mistake or regret so far and what I’ve learned from it
My biggest mistake was letting myself get involved in drugs. I started doing them to escape and help my anxiety but all it did was spiral my life out of control and as a result, I missed many good opportunities that I could have taken. Thankfully I turned my life around after several years of trying to hide my pain. Im now high on life focusing my energy on my job, family and enjoying the freedom of just being.

An unexpected event that significantly changed my life and how it impacted me
Getting pregnant with my son changed my whole life. He is the reason I turned myself around and decided I wanted to be a better person. There is nothing more life changing then looking into your child's eyes when they are born.
